Just last night, after dragon boat practice here in Sai Kung, several of us were commenting on how filthy the water was. Cartons and bottles floating in the water by the pier, and the mysterious brown foam which seems to be spotted more frequently these days... How timely it was that Stanley Dragon Boat posted about Paddle For The Planet's 2015 event on their Facebook Page!
Paddle for the Planet is a Global Paddling Relay. Paddle for the Planet unites paddlers around the world , creates awareness and is a movement for conservation.
Their goal is to have simultaneous paddling events happening sequentially, at a specific time, in every time zone and in each country around the world. The result will be to unite paddlers of any type of paddling craft through the Global Relay. This includes kayakers, SUPers, and, of course, dragon boaters!
When? 9:00 - 11:00am -- Saturday, June 6th 2015
