Now that our official paddling season is well under way, we thought it'd be perfect timing to revisit the Meet the Dragonflies series! This week, we get together with our chirpiest (and noisiest) member of the team, Carla, to find out about what paddling means to her! 1) How long have you been paddling for the HKA Dragonflies? Why did you start? This is my 4th year! Work hard and play hard - great social connection with work colleagues | Kim and Carla, paddle buddies |
4) What do you enjoy most about dragon boating? Definitely the camaraderie, facing the challenge and goals together and having great fun socialising with each other while doing it and you don't notice it keeping you fit ... It isn't an intimidating sport either. You can reach your own personal level and still be a significant part of the team. 5) What tips would you give someone considering taking up dragon boating? Tips - It is a great way to make friends and socialise, just choose the right team for you in terms of aims, practices and logistics. 6) Any last words? Paddles IN!!! | Kira and Carla under sunny skies in Stanley! |
Thanks, Carla! Stay tuned to meet more of the Dragonflies in the weeks to come!
